Simpson (DC) vs Fried Frank (DC) vs Gibson (DC)
All DC offices. For corporate ideally, most likely M&A. Which would you choose?

I was going to say STB running away, but then I looked at the Chambers rankings for DC specifically and GDC and FF are Band 1 and 2 for M&A respectively.
I generally think of STB as being the stronger transactional firm, but it's possible their DC office is more of an outpost, while the other two are sourcing their own work. You probably need someone with more familiarity with the DC market to weigh in.
I assume you don't have a Latham offer? I know they do a lot (all?) of their Carlyle work out of that office.

FF doesn't do anything substantial beyond real estate. Putting them aside, GDC and STB are comparable so I'd base it on interview/perceived fit. Smaller DC footprints for each for what you're looking for but great options, congrats.

Are hours noticeably worse at a place like STB? The guaranteed bonus without regard to hours seems nice especially in the current climate, but it seems like it could be a double-edged sword...
