I know this may seem like a "no-brainer" due to the prestige difference, but I'm not sure. For reference: I wanna be on the transactional side probably M&A, but I'm not entirely sure. I want to stay for like 2-3 years and then transition out to In-house, a non-profit, government work, or whatever else without insane hours so I can pay off my loans and save some money before making a lot less.
I'm leaning towards Freshfields because: (1) commitment to 2-3 days in the office; (2) firm/office culture from speaking with people during interviews; and (3) more "reasonable hours." All I'm really looking for is a better work/life balance in my 20s so I can still have a life outside of work to some extent, work from home 2-3 days a week, and dip after paying off loans + saving money after 2-3 years.
Any advice/insights would be appreciated, especially if you worked at either considering my goals. One thing that has me worried is the more difficult nature of leaving for a job I'd prefer due to the prestige/client difference. (If relevant --> T6 student in NYC).
2L SA Offer Decision (NYC), Paul Weiss or Freshfields? Any advice/insights appreciated. Forum
