Does Sullivan & Cromwell's DC office have a high callback-to-offer ratio?
I have a callback in their DC office next week. I've heard that S&C generally has a high callback-to-offer ratio, but granted the competitiveness of DC, I'm not sure if that trend holds up in their DC office

Last year I know at least 3 people who got a callback (without screening) and didn’t receive an offer. Seems like the DC office is different.

When did you apply / hear about a callback? Was it through a school's early interview or direct app?posadistoutcast wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 11:33 amI have a callback in their DC office next week. Yeah, that's what I figured. Did you glean why they got no-offered, out of curiosity?
I'm going in person. Hope that will help to make a stronger impression and increase my chances. But I can only hope

~50% CB to offer for my non-DC T14, but small sample size. Either 0/1, 1/2, 2/3, or 2/4 each year going back a few.

School's early interview program. Applied 6/16. Received a phone call inviting me to a callback on 6/23Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 12:56 pmWhen did you apply / hear about a callback? I interviewed with this office. It seems extremely different from the NY office. Small and heavily appellate. Wouldn’t generalize anything from the NY office to the DC office. Seemed very selective, especially for people who don’t already have clerkships.

I think it’s just a vibe check. They all thought they didn't click with their interviewers and ended up with offers from other great firms in DC.posadistoutcast wrote: ↑Sat Jun 24, 2023 1:05 pmYeah, that's what I figured. Did you glean why they got no-offered, out of curiosity?
