Heard good news from STB NYC 6 days after interview

Have many people been getting offers in Chicago? Specifically K&E, Sidley, McDermott, and Ropes.

K&E has been sending offers out. Sidley gave out a few but haven't heard them move as quickly as K&E. Someone I know got a McDermott offer recently. All Chicago.

Any Bay Area movement? Had a callback with WSGR SF late last week but basically nothing outside of that

I also had a callback with WSGR but at NYC late last week. I don't know how long it will take them to decide whether to give me an offer...

My last interview was on Friday with the corporate group. I applied through the ACE program.

Not corporate but also last Friday

Denied even a screener at O'melveny. Applied 6/28 and got generic rejection on 7/5. Top 10+% at a BC/BU/ND/GW/FU with LR, MC, WE. Also had ranked them highly on my OCI list...Not sure what to take of that considering I've gotten interviews with half of the V20 already.

Rejected from Skadden NY after screener on Jun 22. Applied through my school's bidding/resume drop process. Also know others with similar grades rejected through direct apply.

FYI, Y and S prohibit pre-OCI unless the firm is not participating in OCI, or you're applying for a diversity scholarship. So easy to suss out H here.

Sidley NY. Pre-OCI do not know if it was school pre-oci or my direct application as I did not give them a CL in school but they had it. Straight to CB, CB (Thursday)-> offer 1 day.

I have an offer held for 2 weeks and would like to do oci but offer expires one week prior.

Ask for an extension. Firms would prefer to have a sense of pre-OCI yield but if you seem genuinely interested they'll likely give you a chance. It probably depends on what rules your school is setting for (pre-)OCI and whether the firm cares enough about recruiting from your school to follow such rules

If they refuse, I wouldn't force the issue, and then you've got a tricky decision to make

Does anyone have insight re: applying pre-oci and not going through Yale VIP? CDO doesn’t allow students to apply to firms attending VIP AND bid during VIP.
