I had my first interview the last week of March with partner in charge of hiring. Said I’d be a great fit and they were excited. The next day I filled out conflicts sheet and scheduled second round of interviews with folks around the firm. Interviews went great (I think) and in response to my thank you the head of the group said they were excited to continue discussions and would follow up shortly. The other interviewers said it was great talking etc and responded within 5 minutes. This was last week on Thursday. The day after, they had some follow up questions on my conflict form and I have had a couple back and forth re conflicts.
I have not gotten an offer yet. Do you think an offer is incoming? Or is it possible I hit a snag in the 3 business days since my interview? To be fair, it was Easter and Good Friday. When is the earliest I can follow up without seeming crazy?

So you had interviews on Thursday and are freaking out because you don't have an offer in-hand by Tuesday morning after a holiday weekend? Chill bro. Things take time, people need to be approved internally beyond just 1 partner, there are committees, etc.To be fair, it was Easter and Good Friday

This. Seriously, chill. Also give them at least a couple weeks before following up. (Obviously unless something else comes up in the meantime like you get another offer with a deadline.) Following up isn’t that helpful because they’re not going to forget they interviewed you and they’ll tell you when they have something to tell you (or they’ll just ghost you, but that means you’re not getting the job). But like one follow up continuing to express interest isn’t likely to hurt.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2023 12:06 pmSo you had interviews on Thursday and are freaking out because you don't have an offer in-hand by Tuesday morning after a holiday weekend? One thing I will note though is don’t pin your hopes on comments that you’re a great fit and they’re excited about the idea of working with you. These are just things that interviewers say. I don’t mean they’re not true, just that they could be true of all the finalists they interview and they could end up going with someone else. Obviously that’s all a better sign than if they’re mean to you/insult you, but don’t get too caught up in the hype.

Poster here.
Thanks very much.
That’s what I needed to hear. I acknowledge that I have no chill.
