Is anyone willing to share what they make as counsel/of counsel at a big DC law firm? I imagine it’s variable but I’m working to negotiate a lateral package and am trying to get a sense of the market. Currently a senior associate. I’m on the litigation side but grateful for any data points.
Thanks!

Re: DC Of Counsel Pay
Counsel at an Amlaw 100 in DC where counsel is a step between partner and associate (but we also have permanent counsel). Salary and retirement contribution of approximately $440k. Also eligible for a bonus if I hit hours and have a good realization rate. The bonus is usually about the same as senior associates get. My understanding is that counsel can mean different things at different firms and even at my firm there are folks who are counsel who are expected to make partner in a year or two and some who are not on partner track at all, so it's hard to compare comp.
