Sending Amazon Gift Card to Work Email
Bit of a random, possibly dumb question. I'm thinking of sending one of our paralegals an Amazon eGift card for Christmas. Do you think there would be any issue with me sending it to their work email? I don't know their personal email and don't really want to ask (don't want to give it away or make them uncomfortable).
Only thing that scares me is if it gets trapped by our spam filter, but I wouldn't think it would since it is coming from Amazon.

Try it on yourself first? If you use Amazon with anything like the sort of regularity that every single person I know in the U.S. does, it isn't too much of an inconvenience to test this by purchasing a $10 gift card for yourself and sending it to your work email.

I can move it to you?

Why not order a physical Amazon gift card and mail it to the person?

I've done this before, direct to work email and had no issues. You can get a confirmation when they open it, or if you aren't sure if they got it, ask them to check their spam folder. But mine have never been caught in our spam folder.

Re: Sending Amazon Gift Card to Work Email
This is the best answer, but one year I was so swamped that I never got a chance to be this organized ahead of time (and I was away on vacation to boot). So I did use the amazon-via-email method, and my staff appreciated it. Since you presumably can't present it in person, you can still send an individual email separate from the Amazon system emails, to let your paralegal know that you've sent something through Amazon and to make sure he or she checks their email to receive it.

Thanks all. I was able to get their address from a colleague so actually did end up just sending a physical card.
