Intro/background reading for new structured finance associate Forum

I've been asked by some junior associates if I'd recommend any introductory/background reading materials for structured finance/securitization, understanding they have no background in finance and want more high-level, treatise-like context than the mere "read the deal documents" advice that most partners dish out. I have seen some one-off practical notes on westlaw but I'm wondering if anyone routinely recommends a good starting place for this (even one for putting securitization into the broader context of the financial markets, generally). Econ/accounting points would be good, too.

This comprehensive guide provides an overview of the fundamentals of structured finance, including topics such as debt securitization, asset-backed securities, credit derivatives, risk management techniques and portfolio optimization. It also includes case studies and examples to illustrate real-world applications. Additionally, I would recommend "Structured Finance: A Guide to the Principles of Asset Securitization" by Elaine M. Farrell, which provides an in-depth look at securitization fundamentals and strategies. Finally, I would suggest looking at some of the available online resources such as the Securitization Education Council website, which provides a wealth of information on structured finance topics. Structured Finance and Collateralized Debt Obligations: New Developments in Cash and Synthetic Securitization - J. Tavakoli One of the best textbooks on structured finance + digs into some legal discussions. If you're looking only for 1 book, this is it.

Question: I see books with both those titles, but not by those authors (rather, by de Servigny and Jobst and by Schwarz, respectively). Am I missing something? Thanks for any guidance in the right direction!
