Elite Lit Boutiques in Boston?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Nov 03, 2022 4:57 pm

Looking to make the move from NYC to Boston. I'm over big law (shock) and want to go somewhere smaller. Lots of elite lit boutiques in NYC and DC, but not seeing really any in Boston. There was a thread on this from 4 years ago that shed some light, but I'd be interested in updated thoughts on the market and other alternatives to the Big Law Life.

I went to a T14 and clerked on CA2 in NYC, if that helps give feedback on where I might fit in.

Thanks all!

Your alternatives to biglaw are Quinn (arguably no different from biglaw) or midlaw with a big paycut. There's nothing in between here. You might look into whether any of the NYC/DC/CA/Chi boutiques have remote positions.

I know nothing about these firms, including pay, but I know that Donnelly Conroy & Gelhaar, Fick & Marx, Miner Siddall, and Todd & Weld exist. On the plaintiff’s side Block & Leviton is in Boston. Obviously a couple of those are tiny. Nothing comparable to the Susmans of the world though.
