Jones Day Reviews - Question

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Aug 22, 2022 1:56 pm

Current midlevel at JD. I’m trying to figure out some sort of ranking system of the JD review process. Specifically, the first sentence of the consensus statement always starts with “Anon had a ____ year.”

For example, I got “solid” my first year and and “outstanding” since then. My hunch is the descriptive used is how the firm broadly categorizes associate performance.

I could be off base, but it’s something I’d like to explore, if only because I’ve heard time and again from colleagues that they had glowing reviews but then middling raises. Which makes me wonder how their performance is described in the consensus statement.

Any JD associates care to chime in with the list of words the firm has used to describe your year in reviews?
