ANY NY FIRM HIRING SENIOR ASSO/COUNSEL?
Hi I am 9th year. Corporate/Cap markets experienced. T14. Big law experience for years.
Looking to move back to NYC and need a job. Is any firm hiring senior asso or counsel in those areas?
I need to move back asap but finding job is the hardest challenge....
If you know any firm currently hiring or have any advice as to how I can approach this please please PM me. Thanks.

2014 was 8 years ago... By the time they move/start, they'd 100% be considered a 9th year (or like a few months away). Weird aggro anon callout.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 12:41 pmyour posting history reveals plainly that you’re a c/o 2014 gradringdabell wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 2:01 amHi I am 9th year. Which could be a 9th year? He's a 8th year by easy math, but maybe by the time he moves back he's a 9th year or he was a JD-MBA that was pushed up a year.
I don't understand what kind of "gotcha" you're trying to pull.
Also, OP, just talk to a recruiter. You really shouldn't have any issues getting a position somewhere.

Was advised to not use a recruiter as that would make me way too expensive to hire?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 12:55 pmWhich could be a 9th year? He's a 8th year by easy math, but maybe by the time he moves back he's a 9th year or he was a JD-MBA that was pushed up a year.

If you don't have any other contacts, then a recruiter may be your only option to get your foot in the door/CV looked at. Otherwise, throw your darts at the board of firms that are advertising cap markets vacancies and see which recruiting addresses are monitored/read.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 1:13 pm[tweet][/tweet]Was advised to not use a recruiter as that would make me way too expensive to hire?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 12:55 pmWhich could be a 9th year? Current market timing isn't great, and honestly the best way to make yourself attractive may be to take a couple of years' dip. Still not bad money, and a bit more time to bed in at a new firm if you're keen to stick around for a few years.

I feel like you should use a recruiter and be targeting counsel positions at this point. But, if you want to work for K&E, let me know and I can put your resume in. They'd probably hire you as an NSP.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 1:13 pm[tweet][/tweet]Was advised to not use a recruiter as that would make me way too expensive to hire?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 12:55 pmWhich could be a 9th year?
