I’m doing everything I can to try and make my hours after lateraling the first week of May. It’s easy to get work now, but the first month, I billed nothing. With two months left and so much to do, I’m feeling the weight of this and I’m getting nervous that I’ll miss the mark.
Is it normal to fall short of billable requirements after lateraling mid-year? I would appreciate any perspective.

Not unusual - it's why a lot of people negotiate for a full year bonus regardless of hours in their first year.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 10:32 pmI’m doing everything I can to try and make my hours after lateraling the first week of May. Billing a full years worth in 6 months is much more unusual than missing the mark when you lateral. Did you negotiate guaranteed EOY bonus?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Tue Jul 26, 2022 10:32 pmI’m doing everything I can to try and make my hours after lateraling the first week of May. Presumably they meant they were offered a bonus if they hit the hours mark prorated for the percentage of the year that they're working there. Correct me if I'm wrong OP. Anyways, it's not unusual to be slow when onboarding.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Wed Jul 27, 2022 4:13 pmBilling a full years worth in 6 months is much more unusual than missing the mark when you lateral.
