Jenner (DC) or Covington (DC)?
I’m interested in white collar and investigations. Also maybe antitrust and regulatory work such as healthcare which I think Covington is stronger in. But I also know healthcare can be tough to break into (?) so I shouldn’t bank on that. I know the Jenner office is much smaller than Covington so perhaps that is a benefit? Would appreciate any insight!

With your goals, 100% Cov.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:09 amI’m interested in white collar and investigations. But for someone with more trial/appellate lit goals, 100% Jenner.

Given your goals, Cov > Jenner all day. But if you were interested in appellate work, it'd flip.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:09 amI’m interested in white collar and investigations. Is appellate work easy to get at a place like Jenner or is it really difficult given the size and lots of people with prestigious clerkships?

What type of trial work? Is Jenner stronger for trial all around and Covington is bigger in investigations? I know Jenner has done some interesting First Amendment work lately. Any other areas they particularly stand out in?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 10:01 amWith your goals, 100% Cov.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 21, 2022 9:09 amI’m interested in white collar and investigations. Jenner is considered more prestigious in elite lit circles if you’re interested in clerking, but Covington is definitely stronger in those areas. But if you’re really interested in white collar and can pull these offers I’d be looking at Zuckerman or W&C.

Bump. Not OP but also interested in what areas Jenner specifically stands out.
