SEC Division of Enforcement

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jul 17, 2022 10:28 am

For those of you who went to work for the SEC after spending some years in private practice — how long did it take from conditional offer —> background check passed and you can give notice? I’m wondering if I would have the time to stay on and collect EOY biglaw bonus in late December. I have what I believe is a final-round interview coming up, and any interviewing advice/chances of an offer/insight into the job would be much appreciated. (Mine is for Division of Enforcement). TYIA.

Why don't you just state your preferred start date?

The turnaround between conditional offer and completion of background check and final appointment letter is somewhat quick.

This is my experience entering throuh the honor's program.

Bump. In the same position (hired, waiting for start date), so interested in other responses.
