Must I pick practice area? Which to target?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jul 11, 2022 3:36 am

Have done 5 years capital markets related practice. Thereafter, 3 years of corporate/M&A.
I am trying to lateral.
In my cover letter, is it better that I pick an area? I don't mind either CM or Corp. But don't want to look undecided - at the same time, don't want to narrow my chances.
If I have to pick one area, which is better? More recent practice area (Corp) or longer practiced (CM) or whatever is open position?

Thanks a bunch!!
