I'm a second year at a NY V50, looking to potentially make a move to the DC area toward the end of this year for family reasons. Those family reasons prevent me from making the move immediately. My firm has a DC office but very few corporate lawyers there, so would like to explore a lateral first. Does anybody have (positive) experience working with a recruiter on a move like this?
I'm definitely not married to biglaw or even my practice group, but sticking with it seems like the most straightforward path toward making a move. Plus I wouldn't mind making market comp for one or two more years before having kids.
Shoot me a DM with any suggestions.
