Firm Advance Stipend

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Apr 24, 2022 2:11 pm

Does anyone know what the method of the summer advance stipend is? My firm (biglaw NYC) said it'll be given after graduation, but I'm wondering what the method of payment is, for instance direct deposit / check?

I didn't summer at the firm so I'm not sure how it works. I am concerned because I will be out of the country after my final exam but still need the money.

Totally varies based on the firm, but many send out advances in May so that you have the money for the full summer.

Almost certainly direct deposit, but don't you think it would make more sense to ask the people who would actually know, i.e., your firm?
