Anyone from Kentucky in here want to talk about the best firms? My fiancé is from there and we may return there (likely Louisville) once we’re married. I can’t find too much info on the top firms aside from a bit on NALP.
What is “BigLaw” in KY? Frost Brown Todd/Dinsmore seem to pop up on a lot of lists. What’s the pay? Do they offer clerkship bonuses/credit? I’m wrapping up a D. Ct. clerkship, and if we move, I wanted to maximize potential pay. Thanks!

Wyatt Tarrant is a good firm. Idk if they pay quite as much as Frost, but I think they pay really well for the market.

And BL equivalent will pay between 120-150k for first years. There will be clerking bonuses at BL type firms there, but not huge and they probs won't let you skip a class year.

Good to know. I wasn’t sure if things have trickled down from the increase in salaries in larger markets. For bonuses, are we talking $5-15k?crazywafflez wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 2:46 pmAnd BL equivalent will pay between 120-150k for first years. This is after the increases. In 2019 ish they were around 115-140. It may have gone up more, but I'm pretty certain it is 120-150. Clerkship bonuses? Depends on the firm. Some really value it, some don't at all. I'd be guessing, but I think your range is correct.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 3:17 pmGood to know.
