Post by Anonymous User » Fri Apr 15, 2022 11:35 am

For those who succeed going back to former law firm after exiting, what is the “rehire” process like? Thanks in advance!

I did this. The process was super quick and informal. I mentioned the idea of coming back to my V30 to a senior associate at the firm, and the chair of the practice emailed me 10 min later to let me know they'd be glad to have me back. Negotiated start date/full year-end bonus via email with the same partner that same day. Everything was done within a day or two. Onboarding process was a little more involved, as I had to go through all of the standard procedures and trainings.

No formal offer or background check?

I'm the anon above. They did send me a formal letter just to put everything in writing, but no background check.
