Clients getting worse
Might just be more interaction as I get more senior, but are clients getting worse? As in: seem to actually be dumb, ridiculous timelines, generally lame. I feel like so many of them are out of their league or something. Any thoughts?

Re: Clients getting worse
The great resignation has hit in house departments pretty hard. Most places will be short staffed right now. To compound the problem the recruiting teams at large companies are also down people, busy filling positions from all over, and we’re never good to begin with. It takes forever to even get a listing out for a position to replace someone who leaves.
Then the massive signing bonuses at firms makes those associates looking to leave much more likely to try their lunch at a different form before considering in house. Candidate quality is definitely down.
So you are not crazy.

I’m a first year at a sweatshop, 6-7 months in. Would I be competitive for in house? Most of my days are keeping up with checklists and scheduling zoom calls. Also help on some m&a ancillary docssyrahfan wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 7:27 amThe great resignation has hit in house departments pretty hard. Most places will be short staffed right now. The jobs you can get and the pay you want do not align.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sun Apr 10, 2022 9:44 amI’m a first year at a sweatshop, 6-7 months in. Would I be competitive for in house?
