Is "please *find* attached" not a thing?

Re: Please see attached...
“Attached, please find…”
But then “See attached.” is for passive aggressive and internal use when some asks you for a doc that was circulated to them in the last 7 days.
Just attaching something with no comment is for when people really deserve it.

I cannot abide that comma, but otherwise sounds about right.Ultramar vistas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 10:36 am“Attached, please find…”

Re: Please see attached...
Wait is see attached seen as passive aggressive? Or only when "kindly checking in"?

Re: Please see attached...
Depends on mood and tone I'm trying to convey.
- If it's just run of the mill, everyday, "Please see attached" or for variety, "Attached, please see".
- If I want to show initiative, it's "I attach".
- If I'm being sarcastic because someone's asking for something stupid/that they've seen before/that they could have found themselves, "Please kindly find attached" or "Attached, humbly, please see..."
- If I'm being suggestive, some other adverb is useful as a modifier. "I thirstily attach" or "Please, submissively, see attached".
- And if I'm generally angry, frustrated, or in a rush - "Attached!"

Please find attached always irked me as unnecessary legalese. What are you "finding"? The attachment is right there!

Using this will preclude you from partnership and is grounds for immediate dismissal in many firms. Sorry friends. RIP. :-/

Accidental anon use. And for anyone who is overly anxious out there: I’m just kidding you’ll be fine.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 12:08 pmUsing this will preclude you from partnership and is grounds for immediate dismissal in many firms. Sorry friends. RIP. :-/

My personal favorite is "Here is *doc name* (attached)."

When I was a first year a senior partner literally demanded I use Attached please find and not Please find attached...So naturally I've passed this idiocy down to all others who work with me.

Re: Please see attached...
"Attached please find" was really ingrained in me an impressionable age or something b/c that's what I default to. But I've read enough comments on how awful it is that I'm making an effort to avoid it (so I'll say either "attached is/are [whatever]," "I've attached [whatever]" or "here is/are [whatever]"). But if I'm in a rush/writing to someone for whom I want to perform pompous lawyer to the max, I'll let my "attached please find" stand.

Re: Please see attached...
Yep, had a partner yell at me for using “please find attached” as a first year. “What do you mean, I should find it? Am I an idiot? Do you think I lack the ability to find it myself?” So now I say “please see attached” from PTSD.

When someone asks for something I have already sent them, they get a forward of the prior email I already sent them with the doc.Ultramar vistas wrote: ↑Fri Mar 25, 2022 10:36 am“Attached, please find…”

I generally say “please see attached” but this isn’t something I’ve ever devoted serious energy to thinking about.
