Start Date?
When do the big New York firms usually start associates in the fall? Sometime in October? And when should I expect to find this info out? Would ideally like to plan a post-bar pre-move vacation... Thanks

September and October are common. You should reach out to your firm's recruiting contact and see if they have information. Planning a bar trip for August is generally safe.

Why not email HR and ask? It’s not a bad look at all. My firm had two start dates, in Sept and Oct, and associates could choose between them. We still had a few start on other dates too for their own person reasons.
