Not sure you're going to find a consensus answer here, but I'd pick the top ~10-15 Fintech companies (either private or public) and see who represents them.

FWIW, Law360 named Cravath, King & Spalding, and Paul Hastings as their fintech practice groups of the year for 2021. Between those firms, I imagine you'll find that they cover varied areas that pertain to fintech.

Chambers and Partners has a ranking for this: https://chambers.com/legal-guide/fintech-49

I'm a "fintech" attorney and you're gonna need some more qualifiers on this. EC/VC? Transactional? Finreg? Lit? Any specific areas? If you're in the Bay Area, I'd say Cooley, Fenwick, WSGR, Goodwin, Gunderson, depending. The big shops that get fintech awards seem to cover a lot of fintech companies in something ancillary (Cravath seems to do securities and financing but I'd never think of them re fintechs, not like, say, Cooley). I've also heard bad things about the PH fintech group.

Edit: You'll get in house recruiters with any of these and have options.
