How long after you submitted your application to lateral did you hear back and still get an offer?
I had a friend who is an associate submit my application for me and I haven't heard anything from the firm yet, it's been 10 days and I am a little nervous.

I wouldn’t be too concerned this time of year. Hiring is much slower during the holidays because (1) people are traveling and (2) transactional clients want things wrapped up before the end of the year.

Yes scheduling takes time. If after two weeks time you still have t heard back, maybe have your friend ask hiring partner directly or you can email partner yourself. Recruiter Submitted app 11.17; interview granted 11.19. I gave lots of availability and was finally scheduled for 12.9; round 2 12.16; offer 12.20. V10. 2nd year lateral retool. They move quicker on mid levels.
