In-House Opportunities for Sec Lit?
I am a junior litigation associate considering a lateral that would likely involve more securities litigation. I don't see myself staying at a law firm long-term, and so I wanted to think about exit options. Obviously a regional SEC office might be one (I live on the West Coast), but are there any in-house roles for folks with securities lit backgrounds?

The lack of responses does not bode well.

I'm not sure why you're surprised. It's well-known that litigation has significantly worse exit options than transactional. But this is magnified for securities litigation.
I mean, think about what you do as a securities litigator and why that skillset wouldn't really be useful outside of a law firm.

Not in sec lit, but as a mid-level in other lit who has been on the in-house job hunt for a while I can assure you that the vast majority (~90%) of postings I see are looking for transactional backgrounds. I imagine there might be some interest / overlap with financial institutions and regulatory/compliance roles. But if I could go back and do it again knowing I wasn't going to stay in big law 10/10 times I would do transactional.
