I am a second year health care associate at a V20. I am starting to think about going in house in the next year or two. What are the exit opportunities typically like for a health care associate? I imagine most people go to hospital systems or bio/Pharma companies, but how is compensation at places like that and what’s the work-life balance like?
Juniors at my firm are generalists (we do lit/investigations, regulatory, and transactional) and don’t specialize until we are more senior. It looks like a lot of hospital systems hire based on speciality experience (e.g., FCA, joint venture, etc.). Am I at a major disadvantage by being a generalist?
