Conflicts Check

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Nov 12, 2021 4:51 pm

I'm a third year corporate associate at a v40 firm and just got a lateral offer from an NYC v10 firm. They told me not to give notice until the conflicts are cleared. Does anyone know how long that generally takes? They told me that it could take one to two months... That's much longer than I expected. I just have two years experience and don't have a super long deal list. I believe they were just managing my expectations but would appreciate if anyone had similar experience.
