Ease of entering the criminal law field?

Post by 239840 » Fri Nov 12, 2021 12:11 am

I interned for a PD's office this summer and enjoyed it, and I suspect I'd enjoy working either as a prosecutor or a private defense attorney in the future, but I don't know that that is something I'd want to do straight out of law school. I feel like it's something I'd want to do as more of a middle-aged (and then some maybe), seasoned lawyer if that makes sense. Is it possible to shift into criminal law from private practice after spending several years in private practice?
