Going through interview process for entry level positions & a V30 firm asked me to complete a conflict form. Already did screener & cb, but no offer yet.
I would think this is a good sign, but why would a firm waste the time/resources on a law student to check for conflicts when the student hasn't worked in BL before?

Re: Law Student Conflict Check
Conflicts checks are required for all attorneys. Plus, conflicts come from everywhere, not just similar work experience. That environmental law clinic you did where you helped with a lawsuit against Big Bad Company X is a conflict for any firm representing Big Bad Company X (though probably not one that affects hiring decisions).

Re: Law Student Conflict Check
Every single hire does a conflicts check. For a student it's no big deal. Mine was after I got hired. Just fill out the paperwork and see what happens.
