Deal Sheet Examples/Review?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Oct 07, 2021 4:52 pm

Does anyone have a good deal sheet template to use, or know where I can get a deal sheet reviewed? I was just laid off because my practice group is slow. I am only a junior associate, so I am not sure how much detail each transaction needs (or whether a sheet is even necessary, but I have friends who have had to submit deal sheets when lateraling even as a junior associate).

Laid off as a transactional associate? May I ask what type of transactional group you were in? Sorry to hear the news. Good thing is that it's a hot market for most transactional associates. Keep your head up!

To your question, I found the following helpful: https://www-cdn.law.stanford.edu/wp-con ... PORATE.pdf and https://law.utexas.edu/wp-content/uploa ... -sheet.pdf

Depending on your law school, the career center should have resources for reviewing and giving feedback. I would also recommend working with a recruiter if it makes sense for your situation, geography, etc.
