Annual Review Time - Making Pitch for Above Market Bonus

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Oct 01, 2021 4:57 pm

Curious if anyone has ever had success pitching and succeeding in receiving a higher year end bonus than is market or higher than what the firm says is the range for year end Bonus (assuming they provide a range rather than pay market - for instance my firm provides a percentage of salary range for hitting different billable hour thresholds). Would be making the pitch in my annual report and, subjectively believe I can make the case based hours being at 150%+ of top bonus requirement, rate of collection on my billable hours billed, and new clients I've brought in. Curious if others have had any success here.

Work at V50 big law, senior level associate in corporate/M&A, on a pure hours booked basis I have the most hours in my PG and consistently strong reviews (tbd how this year goes).
