Almost all of the satellite offices of biglaw firms in Wilmington are paying market rate now, which puts them $30,000 above the Delaware firms. Has there been any talk of pay increase in these firms?
Does anyone know what prompts Delaware firms to raise their pay, whether it's time or how far they are from market rate?

I summered at one and straight up asked this during my exit interview (this was probably dumb, in retrospect). The response was basically that they're waiting for another firm to do it first. TCR is to lateral to a national market-paying firm.
The work is still DE work and not portable, but it's a lot of cash for a small market.

By Ex-DE now in biglaw, do you mean you used to be in one of the four DE firms but now at a Wilmington office of a biglaw firm, or did you lateral out of DE?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 6:50 pmTCR is to lateral to a national market-paying firm.

I know that DE bar admission gets no reciprocity, but other than that issue, do you know if there’s any work in DE market that’s portable to other markets?
