What's the deal with the firm? I know they specialize heavily (almost exclusively?) in real estate. How would the crowd here recommend looking at them in comparison to more traditional Chicago BL?
Basically a non-starter if not interested in real estate work?
I was looking around Vault and they were ranked as the top midsize in the Chicago-land area and after hearing people laud Barlitt Beck, that surprised me

Re: Barack Ferrazano
If you're just focused on prestigious litigation and credentials, Bartlitt Beck is the top firm in Chicago, period, even after including all of the major firms. BFKN is the top mid-sized full-service firm. It does great real estate work and has a pretty good mid-sized firm corporate/securities practice. They have a lot of luxury brands as clients that help them get high-profile work across real estate, corporate, and I think even some IP. If I were in corporate or real estate or really anything, I'd rather work there than any other attainable shop in town. The hours are reasonable by biglaw standards (1900-2000/yr.) and pay only compresses after the 3rd year and not too terribly so. I think 60%+ of the attorneys have T14 backgrounds.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 12:25 pmWhat's the deal with the firm? I know they specialize heavily (almost exclusively?) in real estate.
