Quinn DC v. Cleary NY v. Weil NY
I'm pretty set on lit and badly want DC/to avoid NY so seems like an obvious choice here but wanted to make sure.
Thoughts on these in terms of lifestyle, exit options (want govt->boutique if possible), etc? I'd also like to clerk if that's a consideration.

You'll be happiest at Weil, most miserable at Quinn, but Quinn will likely advance your career the most lmao

Re: Quinn DC v. Cleary NY v. Weil NY
It’s interesting to me that these would be your only choices.
For government, Cleary has the best track record. However, Lit at Cleary has struggled in the past few years, and they have had to shed a ton of mid level associates (while other firms are gobbling them up) due to lack of work. The Sears bankruptcy kept people very busy for a time, but it’s not enviable work. If you get staffed on arbitrations you can make a go of it. Most people won’t be, and the firm won’t be honest with you about it.
Quinn is a completely insufferable place. It’s also objectively the “best” litigation shop of your three choices, and the only one in your chosen market. I would probably only do this for the summer; try to clerk for one or two years after graduation and switch.
Weil is the least traditionally prestigious of this group for litigation, but you might be happier there. It’s not so far down the totem pole that it’s out of consideration, especially if you like the people and might be interested in restructuring or bankruptcy.
Not an easy call. Your heart seems set on DC, so that probably tips the balance.
