All NY offices. I want to be on the transactional side but am otherwise undecided.
Looking mainly for good exit opportunities and a (relatively) good work culture. I really liked the vibes during my interviews at both Proskauer and Cahill. I also like that neither of them has a strict 2000-hour requirement for full bonus eligibility (unlike Sidley), although I realize I’ll probably be working more than that at any firm anyway so not sure how much it matters.
Currently leaning towards Sidley or Proskauer just because they have more breadth on the corporate side and I don’t know how I’d enjoy finance at Cahill. I know Sidley is the higher-ranked option, but I’m not sure whether there’s really a meaningful difference in terms of career prospects/exit opportunities later on.
