McKool vs. Holwell Shuster (both NYC)

Finding it hard to discern differences between these two. What are your thoughts on practice reputations, culture, selectivity, etc.? My sense is that McKool leans more patent and HSG more commercial lit but that’s based on “feel”, not data.

McKool does more patents and trials. HSG doesn't do any patent and focuses on commercial lit like antitrust/securities/contract. I think there's a bit of an appeals group at HSG too. I don't know anything firsthand about hours, but Chambers put HSG at 1800-2200. There's posts on here saying McKool is pretty high (like 2400+) but no idea if that's accurate either.
