I recently got an offer from Milbank for their cap markets team in London. Everyone I met was great and I genuinely had a nice time throughout my screener and callbacks. That said, I was wondering if anyone has any info on the US-qualified team in London. I know they recently poached a ton of people from Shearman and are good on the high yield side, but I was wondering what their reputation is in general. Are they good for equity work too?
I know partnership prospects are terribly low as a US-qualified attorney in London, so I was wondering what working in cap markets means for my career in the long term (i.e., exit options).
