Mixed messages about Goodwin NY?

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Aug 15, 2021 10:53 am

I have heard everything from people vowing to never apply here to other raving about the culture here. It seems like there is a wide range of mixed opinions. So what is it? Would love to hear your thoughts. This is my only offer so I basically have to take it--just wondering what I am getting myself into here.

I work in a different Goodwin office and honestly the best answer I could give you is that it probably depends on whatever practice group you end up working with. While people talk about firm culture, on a day to day basis in a way that makes an actual material impact in your life, group culture is probably what you should care about more. I haven't heard much of anything about how good/terrible the NY office vibe is. I think it will be fine if you align yourself with the group of folks who mesh best with your style. Sorry I don't have any specific anecdotes, but I would suggest that you don't need to worry too much.
