O'Melveny NY or WilmerHale NY for patent lit?
Which would you choose for patent litigation in NY? Care about a semblance of a work/life balance (to the extent that's even a thing) and dedication to pro bono

Re: O'Melveny NY or WilmerHale NY for patent lit?
Personally I wouldn't deal with New York for patent lit, tons of great options elsewhere, without the down side of having to commute into Manhattan (whenever people start doing that again).
Assuming you are set on New York for personal reasons, I'd probably go with Wilmer. I don't know either office personally, but searching on O'Melveny's office for New York patent litigators, you get four hits, all of which are partners, and two of which are listed under multiple office locations:

Wilmer on the other hand has about 20 hits doing IP Litigation in New York, at all levels of attorneys:

Now, again, I don't work at either of these firms so I don't know what they are like from the inside. But usually one of the advantages of being in a New York office is you are not the satelite. With only four other attorneys there in the same practice as you, I am betting it will feel like a satelite office. That's fine, but again, why pay New York prices for that?
That said, I'd trust your personal read from interviews more than what strangers on the internet think.
