Basic Lateral Interview Tips?
Hey guys (after a way long absence from these fun forums--not sure anyone from back in the day still hangs out here)--help a girl out. I have a couple lateral screeners scheduled this coming week, and they are both with awesome firms. I am a junior associate that would be a somewhat nontraditional candidate for BigLaw; I did some public interest stuff and am currently at a firm with a cool area of specialization. I am asking around while preparing to get some very basic advice on good ways to prepare for these interviews. I am trying to treat these as tests and prepare in a systematic way. Soup to nuts, re preparing for lateral interviews, what would be or has been your prep process, successful and/or opinionated ppl (welcome input from all!! haha)? If you have any thoughts on positioning for me in particular, that is welcome as well.
