Anyone have any intel on Kasowitz generally? Or specifically, the Miami office?
Anything would be helpful (culture, hours, expectations, $$, etc..)

Re: Kasowitz intel?
My personal experience is a bit dated, but to me it wasn't a bad place to work as far as biglaw goes. My other biglaw experiences have been worse. Like any place, this is highly dependent on who you work with. Most people are great, but there are a few terrible ones. In NY, comp is basically market but they can screw you on bonuses if you don't bill enough (they also give small bumps to high billers). Hours requirement for full bonus was 2100 if I recall correctly.
Non-NY offices are basically red-headed stepchildren and serve a specific purpose (like Berlinski in LA). Associates in the satellites don't always get NY-scale bonuses.

Thanks so much! They recently announced DPW scale across all offices, so that's a plus. I'm wondering what the "specific purpose" of the Miami office may be. I heard the 2100 includes other non-billable hours too. Was that your experience?Anonymous User wrote: ↑Thu Jul 15, 2021 9:56 amMy personal experience is a bit dated, but to me it wasn't a bad place to work as far as biglaw goes. It used to be a hub for some of their big tobacco litigation. I'm not sure if that's still the case and, if not, what they mainly do out of there now.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Fri Jul 16, 2021 2:56 pmThanks so much! I don't remember the specifics of the hours requirement, I was always enough above it that I didn't have to worry about hitting it.
