Hello all,
Current V30 summer associate. Our firm has told us that we will probably be able to work our 3L year, although it is not guaranteed. I really want to work my 3L year. A secondary market shop has invited me to an interview to be a clerk for my 3L year. I was thinking about going as far along in that process as I can before finding out from my current firm what my options are. Of course, I strongly prefer working at the V30.
Will I face any negative repercussions from interviewing while currently summering and hoping to clerk? What would you do?
Thanks!

Re: Tough Decision for 3L Year
Be careful about conflicts; not sure what your state-specific rules are about conflicts while working as a law student, but it might be risky to work at a different firm for a few months, and then have your permanent employer be peeved if you are conflicted out of matters.
