L&E at Lewis Brisbois vs Littler
I’m lateraling coming from a plaintiff-side L&E firm and have offers from Lewis Brisbois and Littler in a major market (LA/NY/SF/DC). I think I may ultimately want to work my way into a market-paying BigLaw firm. I went to a T14 and earned very average grades. Which option puts me in a better position for a chance at a market BigLaw position? Also interested in any insight about what it’s really like to work at these two firms.

Both are not bad options but Litter is a much better option in terms of prestige and likely work too. They are pretty much number 1 in L&E as it relates to the L&E shops.

My wife works at Littler. It’s a tough place to work.Anonymous User wrote: ↑Sat Jul 10, 2021 3:17 amI’m lateraling coming from a plaintiff-side L&E firm and have offers from Lewis Brisbois and Littler in a major market (LA/NY/SF/DC). Littler is much more highly regarded, and I would assume it pays better. I’m don’t think it’s a particularly close call.

Littler is the choice. Lewis Brisbois is mostly an insurance defense mill. You will make tens of thousands more per year at Littler.

I have had only one matter that involved Lewis Brisbois. As a favor I reviewed & critiqued their work product. The partner & two associates working did not accept the critique. The result was that their client lost his business.
Besides the work product, the manner in which they--primarily the partner--dealt with a critique was concerning.

Former Lewis Brisbois L&E attorney. I made my transition to Big Law, but Littler is the better choice. If you share your ballpark year, offer ($$) and hours as they have that production bonus piece, I'll tell you if good or bad deal.
