Wilson Sonsini to SLC? Firm Expansions and New Offices?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jul 08, 2021 4:02 pm

Any WSGR people out there to confirm or deny the rumors that the firm is opening an office in Salt Lake City?

Interested in other firms that are opening new offices too. Earlier in the year someone posted that Goodwin might be opening a Charlotte office and other secondary market offices but nobody has been able to confirm.

Im particularly interested in Utah since my wife's family is from there but also like to know what firms are thinking strategically.

I feel like that kind of info is not something that leaves the weekly partnership meetings until it is officially announced.

Agreed. I am a WSGR associate and have not heard any rumors of new offices.

Can't speak to Wilson but I think Goodwin was letting people work remote from certain states and I'm not sure if that's really an indicator of interest in opening office rather than just certain tax or other business reasons?

Kirkland & Ellis opens a Salt Lake City office https://www.kirkland.com/news/press-rel ... -lake-city

Who is going to be next?

Can we expect a similar rush as those firms that went to Austin?
