Miami In-house Salary

Post by Anonymous User » Sun Jul 04, 2021 2:16 am

Anyone know what the going rate is for an in-house (assistant GC) position in Miami? Trying to figure out how much I'd be leaving on the table. FWIW, I'm a 4th year at a V10 in NYC.

You have not provided enough information for anyone to give you a good answer. This isn't too far off from asking "what is the going rate for a lawyer?" Public/private, revenue/size of organization, type of organization, etc. all matter.

Thanks. I guess that's kind of what I'm asking. Outside of unicorn-type jobs, what kind of in-house salary is realistically attainable for someone in my position in Miami?

Interested in this as well. In the past I’ve been quoted numbers that have been quite low- like 140s for fourth/fifth years all-in. Still where I am, so obviously didn’t take that

I know of a Miami-based company that offered someone around that year a $160k salary w/ 20% target bonus. Company has around $9B in revenue and is semi-international.

Be prepared for seemingly low comp packages. Miami companies typically pay much less than their NYC counterparts, the reasoning being (x) "we aren't NYC" and (y) "there's no income tax".
