Job Posted After Lateral Interview
Current lateral candidate that just finished callbacks with a firm. The day after my callbacks, the firm re-posted the listing for the job I'm being considered for. Is this a bad sign? Or perhaps a recruiting formality/previously scheduled posting? I know this is reading tea leaves, but I'm still curious about people's thoughts.

Re: Job Posted After Lateral Interview
This happened to me once at a V50 firm. I was working with a recruiter at the time, and she told me this was a very good sign that I was getting an offer. Apparently they needed to have an open position in order to fill it, and the advertisement was part of that. She was right - I got the offer about a week later. That may be firm specific, but my general point is that I wouldn't assume you're not getting the job just because they advertise it.

This is interesting, and also reassuring! Can anyone else corroborate this type of policy at their firm?AntipodeanPhil wrote: ↑Thu Jul 01, 2021 7:43 pmThis happened to me once at a V50 firm.
