NY V20 corporate junior here. Maybe a dumb question, but what kind of matters do you typically put on your dealsheet/resume? More specifically, if you only worked on one aspect of a larger transaction, do you just describe your role narrowly or do you put the whole deal on your dealsheet as a deal you've worked on?
Also, if you're a junior, would people laugh if you put down that you worked on certain transactions, bc you basically did mostly scrub work? Is there a minimum threshold (or maybe seniority level) for the kind of work you do on a deal before you're "allowed" to put it on a dealsheet without getting laughed at?
Not sure how to flesh out my deal sheet for lateraling/resume purposes. Any insight is much appreciated.

I'd personally say just list what you did in those deals. If you were involved in all aspects of the deal, then just list the deal generally. If they're curious, they'll ask about it at an interview. But as someone involved in hiring and interviews, it's obvious when someone is padding their experience and involvement.

Google Stanford deal sheet - that’s a good base. If you did substantive work or relevant work to the new practice put that first.
Second the above poster, if you can’t walk through the entire deal with someone (if you just helped with closing) then leave it off the sheet.
