I received an inhouse offer 2 days ago that I really wanted but am now lukewarm about. I am currently being considered at a few other places, including some large cap companies.
How can I buy myself more time, preferably until next week to respond to an offer? I don't want to engage in salary negotiations until then just so I don't waste my time in case I end up not taking the offer.

Re: How to buy more time to respond to inhouse offer?
Hello,
Thank you for the call earlier today. I am very excited about the possibility of working at Burger King; however, I'd like to take this holiday weekend to discuss this opportunity with my [spouse/significant other/family and mentor], as I sincerely value their opinion and input, and will have my decision to you next week.
Thank you and have a great July fourth.
