Best way to get to San Diego?
Project Finance associate in NYC looking to get back to the West Coast. Originally from Los Angeles but wife’s family lives in San Diego and has been wanting to make a move for some time. Have always loved it out there and here it’s a fairly humane lifestyle from a Big Law perspective.

Apply now while everyone is super busy and there is more need than ever for associates.
Being from LA and having in-laws in San Diego should be more than sufficient ties. Just give them the whole pitch about how you wanted to get the training that comes with being in NYC but always knew you wanted to be in SD long term, blah blah blah and it should be fine.

I always thought the ties thing to SD is overblown. You're fine. Apply to the L&W office as they do a lot of PF and you should get a bite for an interview at least.
