STB offer - I'm one of those who posted upthread and was ghosted for a couple of weeks while people who interviewed on the same day were getting offers.

In other words: don't lose hope!

Did you express a preference for lit or transactional work?

Yes. All-in on transactional.

I'm convincing myself that this is why I have been completely ghosted from DPW and STB for three and two weeks respectively now. For what it's worth, my career services advisor is the one who gave me that idea in the first place. Those of us who have said we're lit-focused—all may not be lost.

Looking for info on the so-called "preliminary interview" with Skadden. Have one this week and don't know what to expect (screener? CB? something else??). NY office if that helps.

My understanding is OCI apps for many of the DC schools for DC firms is today. Not sure if that means Pre-OCI in DC is over or not. Sorry if thats bad news.

I was the anon third up with the post starting "I'm convincing myself." I have one offer from a V5 after four callbacks with V15s, three of which I thought went very well. I thought my DPW interview went very well and likewise got good feedback. I really do think firms are just a lot more selective with people who are very set on litigation. Don't despair too much. It just takes one.

- did you do a regular screener in addition to the video screener
- did you apply for the first generation scholarshiPp

I only did a video screener - didn't apply for first gen though

At this point in the summer are NY firms going to do more pre-OCI CBs? I have only heard from 2 but at least 2 of the others I’ve applied to and been ghosted at are near the top of my list. I’d love to skip OCI
